Cambodia has a population of about 16 million people who are mainly Khmer. The country is still emerging and recovering from what was a devastating civil war and period of intense oppression.

Apart from a few towns, the country is mainly agricultural. Poverty is widespread, with many earning only one hundred dollars a month.

The best way for people to get out of the vicious circle of poverty is education. Our project in Siem Reap concentrates on getting youngsters into college so that when they graduate they can get higher paid jobs and then help their families.
